Information You Provide

When you send an inquiry about a listing, we collect the details you submit (your name, email address, travel dates, party size, and your message to the owner) so we can relay it to the property owner.

If you list a property, we collect the account and profile details you provide (such as your name, email address, and contact details) and the listing content you publish (photos, descriptions, rates, availability, and house rules).

Information We Collect Automatically

When you use the Site, we and our service providers may automatically collect standard technical data such as your device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, and the dates and times of your visits. We use this to operate, secure, and improve the Site.

Payments

We do not collect or store owners' full payment card details. Owner subscription payments are processed by our payment provider, Stripe, which handles your card information under its own privacy policy and security standards. We receive only limited billing information, such as your subscription status and the last four digits of your card.

Guests do not pay us. Any payment for a stay is arranged directly between the guest and the property owner, outside of the Site.

How the Inquiry Relay Works

To protect everyone's privacy, guest and owner messages are exchanged through an anonymized email relay. When you send or reply to an inquiry, your real email address is not shown to the other party unless you choose to share it in your message. We store the message content so the conversation is not lost if an email fails to deliver.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to relay inquiries between guests and owners, operate and maintain listings, process owner subscriptions, respond to support requests, keep the Site secure, comply with our legal obligations, and improve our services.

How We Share Information

We share the contents of an inquiry with the property owner you contacted (and their reply with you) through the relay described above. We share information with service providers who help us run the Site, including Supabase (hosting and database), Stripe (payments), and Resend (email delivery), who may process it only on our behalf.

We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of our users, the public, or us. If our business is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

We do not sell your personal information.

Links to Other Sites

Listings may link to external booking platforms such as Airbnb or Vrbo, and some of these links are affiliate links. When you follow a link off the Site, you are subject to the privacy practices of that third party, not this policy. We encourage you to review their policies before providing any information.

Cookies

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the Site is used. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though some features may not work correctly if you disable them.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Site, maintain your account or listings, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may ask us to delete your account and associated personal information as described below.

Your Choices and Rights

You may access, correct, or delete your account information from your dashboard, or by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, such as the right to request a copy or to object to certain processing. Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above, and significant changes may be communicated through the Site. Your continued use of the Site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
