Cape May Zoo- A Cape May Treasure

A favorite of our family is the Cape May Zoo. The zoo is located just 10 minutes outside of Cape May. This little known treasure is a must do on any Cape May visitors list.
The Cape May County Park and Zoo is open every day of the year, except Christmas. Open to the public, families are welcome to come out to see the animals that call the zoo home. Each animal species has their own enclosed area, set up to make them feel as if they were in their home habitat. Any time of the year you will see American Black Bears swimming in the water or a Black Howler Monkey climbing high into the trees. Gaze in awe as you see Giraffes towering over you, munching on green leaves and running gracefully throughout their large compound. Roam freely at your own pace, or take a 90-minute guided tour for a minimal cost. Tours are guided by an experienced Zoo Education Curator who will teach you interesting trivia, facts and stories about each individual animal.
